Biography

After graduating from Texas A&M University with marketing and management degrees, Susan jokingly said she would live anywhere but Houston.  Of course, fate would teach her to be open to all opportunities and embrace a new career in Houston with Waste Management, eventually becoming the Regional Customer Service Manager specializing in hazardous materials disposal and transportation.  She accepted a position with DuPont Environmental Remediation Services allowing her to translate process improvement and strategic development experience to manage the analytical process for DuPont and Conoco.

With involvement in air quality work, Susan began experimenting with fibers and materials to eliminate dust circulation in her home.  This filter was given to a friend with leukemia to help with residential dust control and later became endorsed by Mothers Against Cancer at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.  A company was formed to handle domestic and international distribution of the filter and manage its expansion from residential to commercial use.  Her client list included a variety of applications such as Baylor Hospital System, NASA, Abbot Laboratories, and AT&T.

After selling her business, Susan applied her talents in the non-profit community as Administrator for a K-12 private academy and curriculum consultant for Christian youth programming.  She discovered a passion for helping students reach their full potential and currently works for Texas Christian University in Career Services as an Employer Relations Manager.

Susan lives in Granbury, Texas with her husband of 25 years and their two children.
